‘memoi’ consists of three Ottawa based fashion designers; Emma Campbell, Jessica Struthers and Ashley Struthers.
After completing fashion school together the three decided to join forces and make a name for them in the romantic world of fashion. They revealed their maiden collection at Ottawa Fashion Week ’08 and there’s been no stopping since.
The girls work from a studio in downtown Ottawa, and do everything from scratch. Starting with sketches, to patterns, fabric selection and assembly, there’s not one piece that’s made without the tender, love and care of the team. The idea for all of their collections is to have clean, simple garments with modern feminine details like; lace, ruffles and bows. memoi's style is the essence of new meets old. Their pieces are inspired by styles and motifs of days past; simple days, where women were classy and glamorous no matter the occasion.
The goal of their clothing is to bring back this timeless demeanour, but with a more modern approach. They want to make it just as easy to reach for a stunning dress or skirt as it is your everyday jeans and t-shirt. All their pieces are designed with comfort and wear-ability in mind.
